I had prepped a canvas with shapes and texture, then a month later revisited it to create something, and low and behold, the shape of a sun was already there, like it was always there. 

I spend two months each summer in my husband's hometown of Rimini in Italy. Rimini is a beach town but when we're there, we always take trips into the country and the Italian countryside makes its way into my dreams and my art. 

I spent time with this one, coming back for more and more layers. It is highly textured, varnished, and ready to ship.
